For best results:
A series of 4–6 treatments at 3 x weekly intervals for epidermal pigmentation.
Skin may appear flushed and red immediately after treatment. Some heat may be noted.

Degree of peeling:
No peeling, however you may have some ‘crusting’ and darkening of pigmented areas, this sheds between days 5 –10.

Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure that your treatment is safe and effective, it is possible to experience some mild side effects such as: mild skin redness, local irritation, mild discomfort or tenderness, pin point bleeding, pimple like bumps, itching, failure to achieve desired result or an increase in hyper-pigmentation (usually resolves in a 12 month period). These side effects are temporary and usually resolve themselves within a few days. It is extremely rare, however complications can arise. Long term complications are usually a result of not adhering to post treatment protocols.

Special considerations:

  • A test patch is necessary prior to first treatment
  • Active ingredients (such as Vitamin A, AHA’s) should be avoided for 5-7 days following treatment
  • May experience a temporary increase in skin sensitivity
  • Increased Photo-sensitivity- Avoid direct sun exposure 14 days post treatment
